Disney Buys Pixar

Faced with losing one if its biggest most innovative subsidaries, Mickey mouse chose to grab it for good purchasing the CGI playpen for 7.4 Billion clams. Now, as slashdot writes, will that make Disney better or Pixar worse? If you know us, I think the answer is obvious.

Dark Energy Baby

Here is an interesting discovery as posted on Slashdot:

"Nature is reporting that Dark energy, the hypothetical energy driving the universe’ expansion, may not be as constant as previously thought. According to new research the strength of dark energy may be very different now than it was when the universe was young."

So i guess it will be kind of harder to predict where we are going to erect that restraunt at the end of the universe…

US Finally Gets Who

According to Outpost Gallifrey.com, the US is finally going to get the new Dr Who on their Sci-Fi channel practically a full year after it was originally broadcast on BBC in the UK and CBC here in Canada. It’ about time they caught up. Although I am sure a lot of them have seen it already anyway and will be too busy downloading the new series, since that starts up practically at the same time.

Tokyopop Licenses Seikai Novels (2006-01-09 15:35:17)
Tokyopop has confirmed to ANN that they have licensed the Seikai novels on which Crest of the Stars and Banner of the Stars are based.

Looking forward to this, and if you haven't check out the three anime series Crest of the Stars, Banner of the Stars, and Banner of the Stars II, which are available over here in North America on DVD. They are three of the best space epics around.
