This is kind of hillarious. US has some 320 million people, and Canada has a tenth of the population. How is it that ISPs in US manage the “exofloods” and these giant corporate entities in Canada are pissing themselves over “traffic management.” Those are excuses and lies for little children, not business models for a democratic society.

I am still kind of shocked that we do not have net neutrality in Canada. How is it that these companies expect us to lie down and take it, always.

I am already paying 40 bucks a month to play WOW at decent speeds. According to the show, the idea pursued by Bell and co. is to charge me even more for pleasures like youtube video crawls and MMORPG campaigns. Call me crazy, but I am not falling for it.

TV shows will be slower to download, and we will all have to revert back to watching the boob tube. hahahaha! These guys are DREAMING!

you’ve all brought up some great points. any enterpreneurs amongst our listeners who might be affected by the throttling?

I happen to be one, and incidentally, I use Skype all the time. Our business depends on video conferencing, and to be quite honest, I have no idea why, or how, we would be paying more than we already do for the connection. That, and I feel your WOW pain man. I play stuff online all the time, and the thought of having to pay through the nose (don’t we already) does not appeal to me. Dunno what these guys are thinking.
