I have been thinking of a career change, and I’ve really been on the edge of deciding to finally enroll in a game developing program. After listening to the show, I think I can finally grasp that there is a community of programmers, and an active one at that. I think I finally have the courage, and the hair of the dog, to go for it.

    Thanks HiScifi!

great show. as usual. The GDC seems to hold some value, but it is interesting that noone knows how the recent economic recession will have an impact on the industry. on the one hand, you guys are saying that the future looks rosy in the long run, but on the other hand if the outsourcing goes as expected things are only to get worse. The fact is that only those with capital – yes, those with the richest doctors, best lawyers, and biggest bank accounts are bound to survive whats ahead. The rest of the winners might as well be called what they are – lottery winners.
