HiSciFi – Mininova, Story of Torrents with Erik Dubbleboer, Ridley Scott does Haldeman

While awaiting the Pirate Bay court decision, we caught up with Mininova.org president, Erik Dubbleboer, who gave us the goods on why Peer-to-Peer traffic, specifically use of torrents, is such an efficient way of transferring data.

There is also a mention of Garfield and Conan, Titanic, and there is also that small issue of Joe Haldeman’s novel being turned into a film by none other than the great Ridley Scott.

I kind of envisioned prez of Mininova to be a bit flashier, but he is kind of nice and holding back a little – one of thouse tough cookie interviews I suppose – but he is a techie through and through. I like the fact that he is just one of the guys who built this thing in the basement so to speak.

    Great job!
    Francis.

I have been working in IT for quite a few years, and there is no doubt or disagreement that torrent tech is the way to go – it makes sense from bandwidth sharing perspective, which is why peer-to-peer traffic is not going anywhere, regardless of Pirate Bay verdict. And that is important to remember.
