Torrent Sites Shutting Down: Mininova First, SceneTorrent Second

Mininova.org had to shut down its operations this weekend, and go through a major revamp of their business model. Currently, Mininova features only registered content, HiSciFi being one of those content providers.

But now, another torrent site has bit the dust. Scenetorrent.org has shut down, even though it is technically a private tracker. It’s 20,000 members have been left dangling without an explanation.

    Does anybody know what is going on with cinemageddon.org it is not available since 3 days and there is already a post at Zero paid that it is down. I hope this is not true. because they are the best movie site for good and bad movies that are less popular , they have really almost everything, From art , horror, thriller, comedy, but often the stuff that you do not find on the web. on top of that it is really intersting to browse their archives becausetheir posts give you a lot of interressting information about unknown movies. If anybody knows a side with similair content please let me know. it does not even haveto be a tracker but just alone for all the reviews it would be grat so maybe one can find them oneself online. Aghh whatever it is a worrying time I hope they make it at least they seemed always very idealistic

    that totally freaks me out. they’ve shut down quite a few private trackers and cinemageddon happens to have some really rare and hard to find gems. I would freak if it were shut down.

    cinemageddon works just fine. dunno what you’ve encountered, but you really scarred me to death. I kind of lost it when I saw the post. pheeew. no more heart attacks pleeease
