According to a story over at icv2 The publishing house Pantheon Books who are well known for publishing graphic novels like Persepolis, by Marjane Satrapi, are set to release “Bat-Manga,” a collection of 1960s era Japanese manga adaptions of Batman that were part of a short lived Batman craze in the country. The highly influential Jiro Kuwata, did the art for the series for an anthology called Shonen King, however it was thanks to collectors that apparently this thing is even going to be coming out. So just like Japanese Spiderman we get to look forward to a rare look at cross cultural adaptions and influences in action.
